This Sunday i decided to visit my dear uncle's home because i was feeling a bit bored at home all by my self. The day went really well because I also had a few friends in the area. I hung out with my friends all day and by evening it was time for the cousins.
Usually after 12 am the appetite knocks the stomach walls and you have to do something about it, my sister suggested that we make the cake using cake mix but i insisted that we make brownies from scratch because it would taste a lot better than those tasteless cake mix. I sent my cousin to get chocolates because it was the only thing lacking among the ingredients we had with us.
Thank god that one of the shops were open and we got the chocolates, not the cooking dark chocolate ones but regular galaxy milk chocolate. Now the only objective was to follow the recipe and cook some fudgy chocolate brownies. We had to do some improvisations due to the use of regular chocolate but after a lot of mixing the batter was looking exactly the way it should. It had the same thick & slurry texture which was required. Now all we had to do was cross out fingers and hope that the brownies cook exactly the way they are supposed to, chewy & fudgy. While waiting we decided to play a game of cards just like old times.We played for about 30 minutes and after that it was time to poke and check whether the brownies were cooked perfectly or not. After pulling the toothpick out of the brownie all we could see was some cake sticking to it and not the liquid which meant that it was perfect inside. Took the brownie out of the oven and cut it into equal pieces so that everyone gets an equal share because people tend to get greedy around cakes.
It was time to taste the brownies which seemed nice and fudgy from the look of it. After the tasting everyone liked it which was a sense of relief for me. The feeling of someone appreciating your cooking is one of the best feelings for me.
This was first of many dishes to come. Just waiting for the arrival of my oven and then i will get continue on home cooking which will be soon.
